Just like a faucet that leaks and there is comfort in the sound

Can you tell I'm enamored with the newest Death Cab for Cutie CD? I don't usually like sensitive man singers, but their lyrics are just brilliant and the music is very soothing.

Leslie and I had lunch today at the very fabulous Preet's Casual Indian Dining. It's by far the hippest Indian restaurant I've been to because the decor is nice and not the usual Taj Mahal cheese-fest. And the menu has nice graphic design, too. But the best thing (as it should be) was the food. We split a samosa chaat and each had a parotha. Super YUM and totally vegetarian. My new lunch favorite for sure.

The sad news is that Leslie, Jorge, and Lola are moving to San Francisco because Jorge got a job at Genentech. Which is good for them but sad for me. I guess it's another reason for me to make more weekend trips to fun places, huh? And San Francisco still has the only H&M store on the West Coast, which is a destination unto itself. Well, once I recover from the serious shopping Leslie and I did in Vancouver a few weeks ago, that is.

And speaking of Vancouver, thanks to Nathalie, I tried the amazing delicacy known as poutine. Fries, gravy and cheese curds - what could be better? Reminds me of the amazing chili cheese fries we used to get every week at Lucky Boy in Pasadena.

And speaking of Pasadena, I'm here now for the Caltech Alumni Admissions Coordinator conference. So there, I've caught you up on my whereabouts for the past couple of weeks. So what's going on with y'all out there?
